James has been voicing an amazing array of characters on stage, film and television since graduating from VCA in 2000. What started as a way of getting past bouncers when underage (by pretending to be a Scottish/New york/German/South African rugby/baseball/soccer/cricket player on tour who had lost his passport), has become an acting career that has seen James perform in Europe, the US and all around Australia. Having performed for most majors Australian theatre companies his tv credits include, among others, City Homicide, Wilfred, Stingers, Blue Heelers. James vocal versatility allows him to voice commercials and fictional characters from the soft spoken Aussie ‘guy next door’, to various American accents, to Liverpool football fan to London banker. A German speaker, James has performed in Germany in both English and German. with an ability to get to the core of a new script quickly, James has recorded short stories for the ABC and commercials that require an ‘everyman’ quality with a consummate range.
