Mark Kilmurry
Mark Kilmurry was born the Britain and has lived in Sydney for 12years. He is an actor, director and writer. Mark has played a wide range of characters from Hamlet to doctors, lovers and villains. He has won many awards including the Time Out Theatre Award, and two Norman Kessell Awards for acting. He was recently awarded the Hayes Gordon Memorial Award for contribution to the theatre. Mark formed the Snarling Beasties Theatre company in 1986 with Debbie Isitt (director of recent film Confetti) and toured the UK and internationally for ten years. He performed in TV and for radio played in many plays for BBC radio 3 and was part of the comedy team in the very successful Life, Death & Sex with Mike and Sue. Mark also did a regular weekly radio spot doing impressions, announcements and links.
Since Mark arrived in Sydney he has performed at all major theatres, and played on TV and in film. He is currently associate director of the Ensemble Theatre and artistic director of Studio Co.
