Blazey is one of Sydney’s best known actresses with over ten years experience in theatre, film and television. Her career in the recording studio began much earlier, however, at age three singing in the vocal group for the 1976 Lipton’s Tea jingle and later the 1979 gold record Care For Kids. More recently she has provided narration for a number of ABC radio dramas including this year’s The Apricot Colonel. Blazey’s theatrical characters have been many and varied, from the murderous French Queen Margaret in Bell Shakespeare’s Wars of the Roses to the teenage Joy in STC’s Summer Rain’ to the Croatian man Yitzac in the Greenroom and Sydney Theatre Critics Circle award winning Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Character voices and accents aside, Blazey’s voice-over style can be approachable, warm and conversational as you will hear on her lovingly prepared demo.
