Peta Sergeant graduated from NIDA in 2000. Her film credits include Disney’s George of the Jungle II, The Bet, directed by Mark Lee, which premiered at the London/Australasia Film festival and then in Australia at the Sydney Film Festival. Most recently Peta filmed the short Early Checkout directed by Dustin Clare and short films The Catalyst and Within Reach.
Peta’s television credits include an ongoing lead role in the award winning Satisfaction Series 1 & 2. She has also appeared in Canal Road, All Saints, Two Twisted , Soft Boiled Luck alongside Bryan Brown, Last Man Standing, Head Start, Beastmaster, Headland and Jeopardy; a BAFTA award winning BBCTV series.
Peta has just finished performing to great reviews in Melbourne Theatre Company’s All About My Mother. Peta appeared in the critically acclaimed Savage River for the Griffin Theatre Company, which also toured Melbourne and Tasmania; she has also appeared in Fake Porno directed by Bojana Novakovich. Other theatre credits include Accelerando by Latino playwright Lisa Loomer 2002, in which she also produced for the Sydney Fringe Festival. She co-produced and acted in Howard Korder’s Boy’s Life directed by Toby Schmitz, for the Sydney Fringe Festival in 2001. As part of the Olympic opening ceremony, Peta was a member of the company that devised and performed There is No Need to Wake Up directed by Barrie Kosky.
